Test Structure

Part 1: Introduction (4-5 mins)

  • Examiner asks general questions about home, family, work, studies, and interests.

Part 2: Long Turn (3-4 mins)

  • You receive a task card with a topic.
  • You have 1 minute to prepare.
  • You speak for 1-2 minutes uninterrupted.

Part 3: Discussion (4-5 mins)

  • Two-way discussion about abstract issues related to the Part 2 topic.

💡Key Tips for Success

  • Speak until the examiner stops you in Part 2.
  • Don't memorize answers; speak naturally.
  • Expand your answers with "because..." or examples.
  • Ask for clarification if you don't understand a word in Part 3.
